Yep, time for more news stealing (because, as the saying goes, the best stories are stolen):

  • Benchmark Reviews did a preview of Starcraft 2. There are plenty of nice screenshots, but I feel that I haven’t read anything particularly new or insightful. Oh well, choo-choo-choo goes the hype train.
  • It’s like Wii, but with a V. So..it’s a Vii. There’s a burgeoning market for "double-take" knockoff merchandise. Who really needs customer support, anyway, when you’ve got something that kinda looks legit?
  • The minimum and recommended specs for Unreal Tournament 3 were posted up on Evil Avatar, and it doesn’t look all that bad…although by "recommended specs" they probably mean at 800x600.
  • Zero Punctuation just released a review for Halo 3. I haven’t seen it, but should be interesting. Good to see at least someone is grounded in saying that Halo 3 isn’t the Second Coming.
  • The Writer’s Guild of America has officially announced an award for Video Game writing. I guess video game plotlines can only get better…? I foresee the Halo series getting the award (and myself chundering violently as a result).
  • Since we can’t reach teens with anti-piracy messages, let’s get ‘em while they’re young!
  • And finally, some info on the Xbox 360 Arcade model, effectively replacing the Core model. If they aren’t selling, then Microsoft might as well change the name, make an attempt to pry into the casual gamers market by adding a bunch of Live Arcade titles, lower the price a tad, and add some iPod-esque silhouettes on the box.
